The Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 911 Carrera S Cabriolet offer several new features for the 2007 model year. The additions include standard leather seating surfaces - with the same rear-seat cushions as the Coupe versions of the cars - as well as standard tire-pressure monitoring systems. The optional navigation system for North America now includes maps of Mexico and Puerto Rico. There's also a new exterior color - Meteor Grey Metallic - as well as the new optional 19-inch Turbo design wheel.
These updates enhance the already standard-setting Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S Cabriolets, designed and developed in parallel with the fixed-roof versions of the venerable sports car. Thus, instead of merely taking a 911 Coupe, cutting off its top and trying to reinforce the structure with heavy supports, Porsche engineers were able to provide the pleasures of open-top motoring by designing a vehicle that offers the stiffness and strength without unwanted weight. The result is outstanding dynamic performance with exceptional safety protection.
