Porsche Cars North America Reports January U.S. Sales

Boxster Sales Up 80 Percent

ATLANTA, February 1, 2005 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced Boxster sales in the United States increased by 80 percent for the month, despite dealers having only had the new model to sell since Jan. 15. In total, PCNA sold 2,177 Porsches in the in the United States, a decrease of 2 percent compared to January 2004.

"We are thrilled with our customers' reception for the new Boxster and Boxster S models," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "Though the weather in January kept us from getting some vehicles to the dealers, it didn't dampen our customers' interest in the new Porsche roadster."

In addition, dealers sold 332 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 306 for the same period last year.
