Sales Increased by 12 Percent
Calendar Year-to-Date Sales Increased by 13 Percent

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, August 1, 2003 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc., (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars (Boxster, 911 and Cayenne) in the United States, today announced U.S. retail sales for July totaled 2,551 cars, an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period last year. Calendar year-to-date sales increased by 2,053 cars, or 13 percent, to 15,766 cars.

"Lagging consumer confidence is having an impact on the sportscar segment and Porsche is not immune" said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "However, our strategy of introducing a luxury SUV is paying off as evidenced by our North American Cayenne sales of more than 6,700 since its March introduction."
