Going the Distance. Half the Distance but Twice the Abuse of Daytona
The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring might be half the distance of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, but the race is universally considered the toughest trial of man and machine on the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship calendar. In fact, the 3.74-mile track is considered the perfect way to test for the granddaddy of them all, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. By virtue of its approach to design, construction, testing and the belief that to "finish first you must first finish", Porsche has more victories at Sebring than any other brand. The German marque has to its credit 18 overall wins, 69 class victories and 207 lifetime top-ten finishes proving the commitment to which Porsche undergoes its racing program. In 2014, Porsche North America won the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class with the Porsche 911 RSR and the GT Daytona (GTD) battle went to the Porsche 911 GT America. 11 racecars based on the seventh-generation of the road-going Porsche 911 will contend for the prestigious Sebring honors in 2015. Three Porsche 911 RSR - the Nos. 911 and 912 Porsche North America "works" cars and the No. 17 Team Falken Tire customer entry - will challenge for GTLM victory while eight TUDOR Championship-bespoke Porsche 911 GT America customer cars will seek a return to the Sebring GTD podium.

Long Impact. Patrick Long To Hold 4th Annual Charity Pro-Am Kart Race
As the only Porsche factory driver from the United States, Patrick Long (Manhattan Beach, California) has had a significant impact on the German brand's success on the track since 2004. For the last four years, the driver, who will share the No. 17 Team Falken Tire Porsche 911 RSR with Wolf Henzler (Germany) and Bryan Sellers (Braselton, Georgia) in this weekend's 63rd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, has also made a significant impact on children's lives here in Florida. On Sunday, March 22, Long will host the Patrick Long Pro-Am Kart Race at Andersen Racepark in Palmetto, Florida with proceeds going to All Children's Hospital. Following the traditional "pro-am" format, the race pairs a professional driver - over a dozen are expected to participate - with four amateur racers per karting team. Many of the professionals will have just completed 12 hours of racing at Sebring the day before. The race is a modified enduro of approximately 75 laps. Gates open to the public at 9:00 a.m. ET with racing beginning at Noon. A silent auction as well as a Porsche "air cooled" show will also add to the festivities. Racing For 12 Hours to Get 10. Alex Job Racing Goes for Sebring Win Number 10
There are a few names that Porsche race fans will rattle off when you mention the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. There is Hans Herrmann, who was the first Porsche driver to win the race overall in 1960. Then there's Vic Elford, who ran the Porsche 917 to win in 1971 with Gerard Larrousse. And Hurley Haywood, who has won Sebring twice. But Orlando area car owner Alex Job has been driving, owning and preparing sports cars - mostly Porsches - since 1990, and has more Sebring wins than all those mentioned combined. With an expanded shop in Tavaras, Florida, Alex Job Racing can trace its Sebring success back to 1991, when its Porsche 911 finished second in the GTU class. Job's first of many Porsche class wins occurred in 1995 event with Charlie Slater, Joe Cogbill and Bill Auberlen driving. The Sebring win in 1999 - the first year of the American Le Mans Series - propelled Cort Wagner to the first ALMS GT-class drivers' championship. 2002 - 2004 brought official factory support to AJR and three straight Sebring wins and three straight ALMS championships with factory drivers Lucas Luhr and Sascha Maassen, with help from Timo Bernhard, Marc Lieb, Joerg Bergmeister, and Romain Dumas. After a number of years away from Sebring while running the Rolex Grand-Am series, Job's team returned to the track in 2010 for the ALMS' GTC class with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. The return garnered a victory, his seventh at the track. 2012 and 2013 brought AJR's eighth and ninth Sebring class wins with Porsche 911-based entries (2012 with Cooper MacNeil and Leh Keen and 2013 with Cooper MacNeil and Jeroen Bleekemolen). This year, Alex Job Racing has two Porsche 911 GT America entries (No. 22 Cooper MacNeil/Leh Keen/Andrew Davis and No. 23 Mario Farnbacher/Ian James/Alex Riberas), and a good chance to score win number ten.

Proving Its Worth. Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama
A quick reading of the 2015 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama entry list does not reveal former champions Henrique Cisneros, Madison Snow or Colin Thompson. As the series is designed to do, those and many others have moved on to higher forms of the sport. If you glance at the entry list for this weekend's Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, a total of 14 drivers from IMSA's Porsche GT3 series are racing in the "big show". One thing has remained a constant; the backbone of professional Porsche teams that are preparing these cars reads almost the same as it did at Road Atlanta in 2004 - the first race in the series. For this opening round at Sebring, Wright Motorsports (Cincinnati, Ohio) has five cars, NGT Motorsport (Miami, Florida) three, and Kelly-Moss Motorsports (Madison, Wisconsin) eight cars. A total of 26 cars - 17 in the Platinum class (2014 and 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racers) and nine Gold class Porches (2010 - 2013) will start the season at Sebring in two 45-minute races.

The series produces intense, exciting competition for semi-professional and aspiring professional drivers in the world's most produced and iconic race car, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

"It is special to drive at a track like Sebring. As a driver, I love Sebring but, of course, you need some luck too. Twelve hours is a long race and because of the characteristic of the track it's harder than Le Mans for the car. If a car can finish Sebring, it's ready for Le Mans. For the drivers, we have a strong fitness plan from Porsche to help us stay at peak performance throughout the race. We just finished our fitness camp in February and physically I am very ready. The most important aspect of preparation for twelve hours around Sebring is not to be tired before the race starts. I think the longer the race the better it is for us at Porsche North America. The most important thing is to have a strong and reliable car and we have that in the Porsche 911 RSR. The competition has always been strong in the Tudor Championship and this is what people want to see. We have hard fights and good racing everywhere we go. I hope we can fight for a podium here. After Daytona, we deserve it. I am looking forward to my return to the USA. Racing here is always very special."
